Nursery Practitioner

LASC Childcare Services are looking for a Qualified Nursery Practitioner to join their well established team Full Time (38 hours per week over 4 days).

The Role of a Practitioner...

As a Qualified Nursery Practitioner, you will be role modelling your knowledge and best practice to colleagues, the children and the families that attend LASC.

• As a key worker, you will ensure every individual child's needs are met.
• Safeguarding children is your priority.
• Speak Up against practices that don't support safeguarding or Our Core Values.

Service: We are one of two nurseries within a large childcare service providing care for children aged 6 months - 5 years in Nursery, 5 years - 12 years Out of School Care and Additional Support needs service, children aged 5 years-16 years.

• Working in partnership with parents.
• Support parents with any ASL needs.
• Embrace and promote our Standards of Excellence in every part of your role.
• Be a key member of the team to plan and implement daily / weekly activities to meet the children's individual learning needs.
• Adhere to our childcare policies.
• Create a setting that is clean and welcoming, with well-kept educational resources.
• Ensure that children's observations are detailed, reflective and provide developmentally challenging next steps.
• Working as part of a team to provide the best care and early years experiences as possible.

Your Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum SVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Early Years / Childhood Practice
• Previous experience working and caring for children under 5
• Passion to deliver high quality childcare and exciting learning opportunities

Experience:

• Childcare: 1 year (preferred)
