Lead Early Years Practitioner 0-2 yrs – Lead, Inspire & Grow With Us!
Are you a passionate early years professional ready to take the next step in your career? We’re looking for an inspiring Lead Practitioner to help shape our setting within our baby room, guide our team, and deliver exceptional experiences for the children in our care.
At Little Flyers, we pride ourselves on creating a home-from-home environment rooted in family values, where both children and staff feel nurtured, supported, and empowered.
As a Lead Practitioner, you’ll play a vital role in mentoring others, supporting room leadership, and helping to raise the bar for quality childcare.
What Makes Us Different?
- Warm, Family Feel – We offer a nurturing space where relationships matter and children are at the heart of all we do.
- Work-Life Balance – We understand the pressures of the job, so we offer in-house CPD and training during the working day, not so much in your own time.
- Be Creative – You'll have the freedom to shape learning environments, inspire your team, and lead engaging, child-led learning experiences.
- Support When You Need It – Our dedicated bank staff support with planning, training and paperwork.
- Leadership Development – You’ll be supported through our leadership programme, with pathways into management roles. Whether you're already leading or ready to start mentoring, we’ll help you thrive.
- Wellbeing Comes First – Our staff well being fund is just one of the ways we show appreciation for the team’s hard work.
- Part of the Bigger Picture – Our owner, Sharon, is a proud member of SEYA (Scottish Early Years Association), supporting high-quality, affordable childcare and championing the early years workforce across Scotland.
- Connected to the Community – We work closely with schools and colleges to promote the early years profession and support the next generation.
- Strong Parent Partnerships – We build trust and collaborate closely with families to support every child’s development.
- A Happy, Experienced Team – Join a supportive team that celebrates success and lifts each other up.
- Your Voice Counts – We value your ideas and input. As a Lead Practitioner, your leadership will help shape the future of our nursery.
What We’re Looking For:
- SVQ Level 3 in Early Learning & Childcare (or equivalent)
- Leadership experience or a strong desire to step into a leadership role
- A nurturing, confident individual with a passion for child development and team support
- A creative and organised approach to leading learning through play
- A collaborative team player who thrives on building relationships with children, staff, and families
Ready to Lead With Us?
Apply today and become part of a vibrant, caring team where your experience, voice, and leadership can truly make a difference.
We’re excited to meet our next Lead Practitioner – could it be you?
