Albyn School is delighted to offer the opportunity of Teacher of Engineering Science within the Faculty of Science & Technology. The department currently offers P6-S2 Engineering, Design & Technology and National 5 to Advanced Higher Engineering Science. Our pupils embrace the subject resulting in a high uptake across all certificate levels. The subject benefits from a fully equipped workshop and a dedicated PC suite. The department also offers a strong co-curricular offering, with recent victories in the international championships of Greenpower’s Formula 24 competition. The successful candidate will be fully supported in growing the subject both within the classroom and outside of it.

You will be joining a vibrant Faculty where the pupils thrive both academically and behaviourally. The Faculty covers a broad range of STEM subjects including Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Engineering Science, Environmental Science and Computing Science. There are 11 teaching staff (including the Head of Faculty) and a technician. The Faculty also benefits from the combined primary and secondary provision that Albyn School has to offer by being able to introduce STEM delivery to primary children sparking their interest in STEM subjects from an early age.

The position is permanent, full time or part time opportunities may be available from 17 August 2026. Consideration may also be given to flexible route probationary teachers. The salary for the post will be determined by qualifications, skills and experience.
