You will contribute to ensuring a positive learning environment which encourages active participation and enables all learners to achieve their full potential, through the effective learning and teaching of students by assisting in the development, delivery and assessment of relevant resources.
This will involve supporting the Curriculum Quality Manager in the delivery of the department curriculum to the quality and standards required, through an integrated learning experience that supports the student journey, delivering first-class and high-quality learning and teaching experiences.
The successful candidate will bring current industry experience in bricklaying and construction, with the ability to deliver high-quality, practical training alongside essential underpinning knowledge. Experience across a range of brickwork techniques, setting out, and site practice is essential, along with a sound understanding of current health and safety standards within the construction industry.
Applicants should be passionate about developing the next generation of tradespeople and able to engage and support a diverse range of learners, including school leavers, pre-apprentices, and employed apprentices. A commitment to high-quality learning, teaching and assessment is essential.
You should have an Advanced Craft or equivalent qualification in Bricklaying and proven industry experience in bricklaying, with a broad range of practical skills and knowledge of current construction methods. You will need to have knowledge and understanding of health and safety practices, including safe systems of work on construction sites and an understanding of apprenticeship frameworks with the ability to support work-based learning and liaise effectively with employers and managing agents.
