Vocational Trainer - British Sign Language (BSL)

As a British Sign Language (BSL) Vocational Trainer, you will lead design, delivery, and assessment of BSL Level 2 through leading classes, assessing candidates, and ensuring the continuation of high quality BSL training provision at Ayrshire College.

Your base will be Ayr Campus, but delivery will be at Ayr Campus and Kilmarnock Campus on Tuesday and Thursday evenings respectively.

We are seeking applications from individuals with qualifications and experience in communicating using British Sign Language to BSL Level 3 or higher, and current Assessor qualifications are desirable. We would particularly welcome applications from native Deaf BSL users, and members of the Deaf Community.

We also have opportunities to join our pre-approved register, who have availability to support the delivery of BSL short courses and qualifications through leading classes, assessing candidates, and ensuring the continuation of high quality BSL training provision at Ayrshire College on an as and when required basis. As a Pre-approved Register member of staff, you will be offered hours of work subject to business need during College hours and in the evenings and weekends, so you have flexibility to fit your Vocational Trainer hours around your work and personal life. Your base will be Ayr Campus, but delivery could be at any Ayrshire College campus or employer premises in the Ayrshire region.
