Lecturer in Electrical and Electronic Engineering

Fixed Term – 12 Months

Full-time, 35 hours per week

Salary: £41,838 - £50,359 per annum (Candidates holding TQFE will commence on £48,227 per annum)

Location: Riverside Campus

As a Lecturer in Electrical and Electronics Engineering within the Faculty of Nautical and STEM, you will lead the delivery of vocational, practical and theory-based programmes, supporting both engineering apprenticeships and full-time engineering students. Learning and teaching are delivered across engineering workshops, IT-enabled classrooms, and online environments.

As a professional member of the teaching staff of the Faculty of Nautical and STEM, you will be responsible for accessible, modern, innovative, and fit-for-purpose learning and teaching packages for the practical and theory-based electrical engineering programmes as well supporting individual programme students throughout their learning journey.

To apply for this vacancy, you must have HNC Electrical and Electronics Engineering or equivalent and 3 years post-qualification industrial experience in Electrical service, maintenance and installation industry, Demonstrable experience of electrical health and safety legislation, and Knowledge of Electrical Standards and IEEE (or equivalent regulations).

You must be self-motivated and reliant and have a desire to teach with excellent MS Office skills. You should possess effective interpersonal skills and be able to communicate learning to individuals with a variety of learning styles.
