Salary: £41,838 - £50,359 per annum, pro rata (Candidates with TQFE will start at £48,227 per annum pro rata)

An opportunity has arisen for a Lecturer in Cyber Security to teach and support learners across a range of levels within a growing curriculum area. The College is seeking an industry‑experienced Cyber Security professional with strong subject expertise and the ability to communicate this effectively to learners.
The postholder will deliver Cyber Security subjects to a diverse student population, contributing to learning, teaching, and assessment that are current, engaging, and aligned with industry practice. You will plan and deliver teaching sessions, assess student work, monitor progress, and support learners to achieve positive outcomes.
You will also contribute to curriculum development and review activity, academic innovation, and quality processes such as internal verification and assessment planning. The role involves contributing to student guidance, recruitment activity and the wider work of the curriculum team.
Applicants must hold a degree or equivalent qualification in Cyber Security or a closely related discipline, alongside industry experience within the cyber sector. This experience may include areas such as systems security, cyber defence, threat analysis, digital forensics, risk or incident response, or related professional practice.
Previous teaching or lecturing experience is welcome but not essential. Support will be provided to enable candidates with strong industry backgrounds to transition into an educational setting. Strong communication skills, effective interpersonal skills and the ability to plan and organise learning activities are essential.
