CURRICULUM AND QUALITY LEADER – Sport and Fitness
Salary: £52,257 per annum (Promoted Academic 1)
Campus: Arbroath

As an effective leader and passionate advocate for learning, teaching and learner success, you will lead your course team(s) in the development, delivery and quality enhancement of a designated range of curriculum and services.

Educated to the relevant SCQF level within the area of Sports and Fitness, you will also hold a full teaching qualification (or commit to attaining this by Oct 2025). You must have a proven track of working in the sports and fitness area, with a general knowledge and experience of a broad range of areas of the curriculum including sports coaching, fitness, health, exercise and uniformed services.

You will have the analytical and horizon scanning skills needed to develop your curriculum area effectively by engaging, motivating and involving your team and providing the vision and passion needed to lead and develop clear curriculum pathways that meet learner, regional and commercial needs across a range of courses and levels.

Working across campuses with several specialist staff you will support the delivery and development of high-quality education within the industry, ensuring the relevancy of skills and knowledge in relation to local and national demands.

Excellent leadership, teamworking, and organisational skills are essential, coupled with an enthusiasm and a determination to enhance the learning and teaching opportunities available for your students.

Calm, organised, motivated and solution focussed, you must also be able to demonstrate excellent communication, negotiation, networking and presentation skills, supported by good ICT skills and a flexible, creative and solution focused approach.

These are diverse and exciting roles, and our ideal candidates will have the track record and credibility needed to engage and motivate their course team(s) to take the College forward from an already strong position.

The closing date for closing date for receipt of completed applications is Wednesday 2nd October 2024.

Interviews and assessment activities are planned to take place at Gardyne Campus, Friday 11th October 2024.
