Head of Regional Development & Partnerships
Hours: 35 hours per week, full time post
Salary: £73,080 per annum
Campus: Kingsway Campus, Old Glamis Road, Dundee, DD3 8LE

Dundee & Angus College is seeking an ambitious and collaborative Head of Regional Development & Partnerships to lead the design, planning and implementation of our new Target Operating Model.

This senior leadership role will help create a more integrated, person-centred approach to education, employability, skills, public service and community support. Working with partners locally, regionally and nationally, the postholder will develop co-located services, shared governance, aligned funding, employer engagement, third sector collaboration and integrated pathways for learners, communities and employers.

We are looking for someone with leadership experience, strong knowledge of employability systems and funding models, and the ability to lead complex change across partnership environments. You will provide strategic leadership for the College’s employability approach, ensuring provision is innovative, responsive to labour market need and focused on sustained positive outcomes, poverty reduction and productivity for employers.

The role requires excellent communication, influencing and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to work with local authorities, government, national agencies, third sector organisations, community planning partners, employers and internal College teams.

This is an exciting opportunity to help position Dundee & Angus College as a civic anchor institution and potential national exemplar for public service reform, inclusive economic development and regional regeneration.

Key requirements:

  • Significant leadership experience in a complex organisation or partnership environment.
  • Strong understanding of employability systems, funding, commissioning and outcome-based delivery.
  • Experience of leading change, service redesign or partnership-based operating models.
  • Ability to build senior relationships and influence across local, regional and national partners.
  • Strong strategic planning, communication and delivery skills.
  • A collaborative, values-driven and future-focused approach.

The closing date for receipt of completed applications is Friday, 11 September 2026.

Interviews are to be held at our Kingsway Campus and are scheduled for the afternoon of Wednesday, 23 September 2026.
