Salary: DA6, £29,006 - £30,704 per annum

Dundee and Angus College is a regional FE College spread over 3 main campuses. The College is a large and dynamic community that has an outstanding record of achievement within the FE sector.

Responsible for the provision of all IT, AV and Communications infrastructure and services within the College, Digital Services has a team of Technicians who provide support to the College. Technical assistance and support are managed through the Digital Help system and is facilitated through a combination of email, telephone and/or direct face-to-face contact.

We are currently seeking an IT Service Desk Technician to be part of a team responsible for the delivery of a support service that enables stable and efficient operation of the College’s ICT systems. Providing first and/or second line support, the post-holder will be expected to prioritise and manage their time and liaise with colleagues in Systems and Networks teams to ensure service level agreements are met across all campus locations.

Applicants should demonstrate a sound knowledge and good understanding of desktop and server operating systems and have an analytical approach to problem solving. Awareness of health and safety issues is essential.

Successful applicants will demonstrate a high commitment to a customer service and have a flexible and multi-skilled approach to work. Teamwork is a key requirement of this post as is the ability to use initiative to prioritise and organise work efficiently and effectively.
