An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, adaptable and organised individual to join our highly qualified, professional Computing team as a Lecturer.
Applicants should be qualified to degree level in a Computing discipline that includes programming and software development. Applicants will have excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, demonstrate initiative and work well with different student groups. The role will require excellent digital skills and knowledge of software development including object-oriented programming, relational databases and programming using languages such as C#, Java or Python. Industry experience is welcomed but not essential. Past teaching experience and knowledge of current national developments in Computing would be advantageous.
The successful applicant will teach on a variety of computing courses at different levels from SCQF level 5 to SCQF level 8. The role will involve planning, development, and delivery of high-quality learning and teaching, assessment, and student feedback.
This position is in a dynamic department, committed to developing learners and addressing the skills shortage in industry.
If successful Dundee and Angus College will help you to gain registration with the General Teaching Council Scotland (GTCS). The College will work with you and support you to achieve the qualifications and professional learning required for registration, you must be willing to undertake any training and development necessary to gain registration.
