Leisure Lecturer - Computing and Creative Media (Esports)

Salary: £22.99 per hour

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, adaptable, and organised individual to join our highly qualified, professional Computing Team as a Leisure Lecturer in Esports.

Applicants should have a good understanding of esports, especially of games, events and the esports industry. Applicants will be enthusiastic, with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, demonstrate initiative and work well with younger student groups, able to inspire and promote enjoyment of esports. Applicants will be qualified to a minimum of HND, but a degree is desirable.

The role will require excellent digital skills, able to set up and run games in the dedicated Esports hub. Past teaching experience and knowledge of current national developments in Computing would be an advantage but is not essential.

The successful applicant will teach the popular esports kids leisure classes. The role will involve planning, development, and delivery of high-quality learning and teaching and student support.

This position is in a dynamic department, committed to developing learners and addressing the skills shortage in industry.

If successful Dundee and Angus College will help you to gain registration with the General Teaching Council Scotland (GTCS). The College will work with you and support you to achieve the qualifications and professional learning required for registration, you must be willing to undertake any training and development necessary to gain registration.
