Job Description

Part Time Variable Lecturer – Children and Young People & Health and Social Care
Rate of pay: £22.07 - £26.57 per hour per hour plus preparation and marking allowance and holiday pay
Campus: Gardyne & Arbroath

We are currently seeking committed and enthusiastic individuals to join our lecturing team in the area of Care: Children and Young People & Health and Social Care. The post holders will teach a variety of subjects within these demanding areas. Support and guidance of individual learners will also be a large part of these roles.

The ideal candidate should have extensive professional experience in the Care Sector and have achieved a degree/ professional qualification in Child, Health or Social Care. You must be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal, communication skills, flexibility, creativity and innovation within a demanding curriculum area. You should also have the ability to work with a range of learners at SCQF levels [4-8].

The successful applicants will be an integral part of the team, responsible for developing learning and teaching materials and understand the curriculum areas of wider achievement, essential skills, employability and citizenship skills.

If successful Dundee and Angus College will help you to gain registration with the General Teaching Council Scotland (GTCS). The College will work with you and support you to achieve the qualifications and professional learning required for registration, you must be willing to undertake any training and development necessary to gain registration.
