Partnership Development Officer – Dundee’s Discover Work Partnership
Hours: Full Time - 35 hours per week / Fixed Term for 16 months with scope for further extension/s subject to confirmation of funding
Salary: DA10 (SCP30 – SCP33) - £40,821 - £43,920 per annum

Discover Work – Dundee’s Local Employability Partnership - has continued to advance its Strategy for 2022-2027 including driving improvements detailed in A Step Change in Positive Destinations for Young Dundonians and this Progress Report from November 2025. To support the next phase of improvement activity, Dundee & Angus College is looking to appoint a Partnership Development Officer on behalf of Discover Work.
The Partnership Development Officer will be the key contact for Partnership work relating to the Discover Work Strategy with all partnership organisations including employability providers, co-ordinating activity across Dundee and supporting the delivery of the Partnership’s strategic aims. The initial focus will be further progressing A Step Change in Positive Destinations for Young Dundonians, guided by the Improvement Plan and Positive Destinations Framework.
In addition, the postholder will
- coordinate Positive Destinations Core Implementation Groups progressing Partnership related activity while ensuring full stakeholder representation and that partners understand and fulfil their responsibilities.
- actively support research and continuous improvement of the Discover Work Service maximising use of local and national datasets.
- analyse and present data on challenges and opportunities specific to young people and family members not in employment, education or training; or those experiencing in-work poverty
- support the development of the comprehensive employability and skills offer for use buy all stakeholders
- support all Discover Work Partners to develop, promote and increase awareness of local opportunities and offers for young people and families

The successful candidate will be dynamic and positive with strong strategic, communication and influencing skills. They will use insight to solve problems and demonstrate the planning ability, awareness and resilience needed to deliver results.
Secondments are welcome where applicants have approval from their current employer.
