Student Services Officer
Hours: 35 hours per week, full time post
Salary: DA9 - £36,666 - £39,780 per annum

We are looking for someone who can provide individualised support for young people and adults who have a range of additional needs such as Neurodivergent conditions, sensory difficulties, long term chronic health conditions and mental health difficulties. Our Student Service Officers also provide support to carers and care experienced students. A large proportion of work is supporting people who experience significant mental health difficulties and wellbeing concerns. You will also feel confident in supporting students to focus on their studies and supporting them with their academic work.
You will work both on a one-to-one basis assisting students to develop their skills and confidence and within the classroom/virtual classroom, and with small groups. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who have experience of working alongside individuals with additional support needs who have the patience and ability to find individual support options for students to help them achieve their educational goals.
You will work closely with Lecturers and Curriculum Leaders to ensure students are progressing well and that tailored supports and assessment options are in place, and working well, for students. You will also offer support and advice to academic staff to ensure they have current and relevant information relating to the needs of students. You will also provide wider advice and information to students to ensure that they have all the information they need in relation to starting at College, and remaining and progressing, through College.
