Junior School Teacher of Support for Learning (part-time)

We are seeking an enthusiastic, caring and engaging Support for Learning Teacher to join the teaching team at The Edinburgh Academy Junior School.

Our Support for Learning team works alongside the Class Teacher team to support effectively the children, staff and parents throughout the school. They work to assist with the implementation and delivery of the curriculum for all children requiring additional support. The successful candidate for this position will be working primarily with children in Primary 5 and 6 but a collaborative approach and a willingness to share skills and experience across the Support for Learning team are essential.

It would be ideal for the candidate to have some form of additional support needs qualification; however, this is not essential. We would ask that candidates are willing to undertake further professional learning or training as appropriate.

The Junior School and Nursery sits in its own self-contained campus in leafy Inverleith next to the Botanic Gardens, providing the ideal environment for our youngest learners. Members of the Support for Learning Team help ensure our all children have the best possible opportunity to learn and flourish.
