Edinburgh College is seeking to recruit a suitably qualified person to take up the exciting post of Acting/Drama Lecturer
Edinburgh College are seeking a passionate and skilled facilitator and theatre-maker who is able to work with diverse groups of people in a variety of community, social and educational contexts.
You will be innovative in your approach in creating and delivering theatre-based programmers in applied,community and drama education settings, that place participants at the heart of a
learning process to explore performance outside of traditional theatre environments.
As an experienced practitioner you will have the ability to work in dynamic, ever changing and diverse settings, with a range of individuals and teams.
The main purpose of the role will be to lecturer on the Acting and Drama courses and Coordinate the BA Hons Top Up Degree Programme.
This role will include practice-based teaching predominantly and/or the teaching of research skills
and the supervision of academic writing in Drama and Acting, directing and Theatre making. You will be required to have the ability to deliver at NC,HNC/D and BA Hons level, to teach, assess, direct, make theatre, internally verify and provide feedback to students and will be required to support the wider Performing Arts team by supporting any of the Performing arts shows that
may take place on evenings or some weekends.
