This is an excellent opportunity for 2 Business Development Advisors to join the Business Development Team. The team sits within the broader Income Generation and Partnership directorate of the college, with an overall purpose of generating profitable commercial income and developing long term industry and employer partnerships.
Working closely with a number of teams across the college, including Heads of Department, Curriculum Team Managers, UK and International Commercial Development colleagues, you will support the maximisation of grant funded training programmes (principally the New FWDF, but also RISE and TAF), whilst proactively identifying opportunities to sell bespoke training and innovation projects to employers.
The post holder will be set challenging income and profitability targets, whilst working towards other key performance indicators as agreed with the Business Development Manager.
To be successful in these roles, it is essential that you have a proven track record of generating new business and working to challenging income targets, with experience in building and managing relationships across a network of contacts.
You will be a self-motivated and confident communicator with experience of attending networking events, with the ability to deliver sales presentations to senior management level.
With strong written communication skills, you will be skilled at writing business proposals, responding to tenders, and / or writing grant applications for funding.
