Contract Basis: Fixed term August 2021-January 2023 to cover a secondment

Salary: £46,257 per annum

Edinburgh College is seeking to recruit, a suitably qualified and experienced individual to take up the exciting post of Curriculum Leader for ICT. As part of this role, you will work with existing staff to lead on a range of units from SCQF Level 4 to Level 6 including ICT core skills and data literacy units.

You will lead the ICT lecturers within the Integrated Curriculum Service team which delivers Core Skills to all vocational areas. The ability to teach either Numeracy or Communication in addition to ICT would be an advantage.

Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline and holding a recognised teaching qualification, you will have current experience of delivering ICT in an FE setting and up to date knowledge of SQA subject specific requirements. You will have excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrate an effective contribution to team working.

In this role, as well as being a competent and innovative lecturer, you will ensure that quality processes are embedded in course design, course delivery, self-evaluation and evaluation of learning and teaching. Applicants must be able to demonstrate creative approaches to teaching, a willingness to share practice and an ability to support and contribute to the development of new resources.

You will be required to teach a range of classes both within the faculty which includes Social Science, Health Professions, Childhood practice, Access and Sports courses as well as classes the team services for other faculties.
