Edinburgh College is seeking to recruit, a suitably qualified and experienced individual to take up the exciting post of Curriculum Leader for Maths and Numeracy. As part of this role, you will work with existing staff to lead on a range of qualifications from SCQF Level 4 to Level 7, including Higher and National 5 Maths, a variety of HN Maths units as well as numeracy units.
Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline and holding a recognised teaching qualification, you will have current experience of delivering Maths and numeracy in a relevant setting and up to date knowledge of SQA subject specific requirements. You will have excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrate an effective contribution to team working.
In this role, as well as being a competent and innovative lecturer, you will ensure that quality processes are embedded in course design, course delivery, self-evaluation and evaluation of learning and teaching. Applicants must be able to demonstrate creative approaches to teaching, a willingness to share practice and an ability to support and contribute to the development of new resources.
You will be required to teach a range of classes both within the faculty which includes Social Science, Health Professions, Childhood Practice, Access and Sports courses as well as classes the team services for other faculties, including Engineering.
