EC01362 - Lecturer in Accounts

Edinburgh College is seeking a qualified, and industry experienced, Accountant to join our dynamic teaching team.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, committed, and highly motivated team player to contribute to our Accounting and Finance team within the Department.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, supporting, and delivering Finance and Accounts units, with the intention to extend these offerings to other departments within the college.

The ideal candidate will already be dedicated to teaching Accounting and Finance-related units at both Further Education (FE) and Higher Education (HE) levels, with proven experience in developing, delivering, and assessing courses across all levels. Experience in delivering AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) courses, or other professional bodies, is particularly desirable. A student-centred approach to teaching and learning is essential, ensuring that the student experience remains at the heart of all educational activities.

Strong communication skills, the ability to work effectively as part of a team, and prior teaching experience will be advantageous.

Proficiency in online learning and teaching is also desirable, as some course delivery currently takes place online. Therefore, excellent IT skills are required.

Additionally, the successful candidate may be involved in the development and delivery of our commercial courses.
