We are seeking an enthusiastic, organised and supportive Educational Support Worker to join our Childhood Practice and College Community department. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young people and adult learners, and is committed to an inclusive approach to helping students achieve their full potential.
As an Educational Support Worker, you will play a key role in supporting learners with additional support needs and barriers to learning in the classroom, outdoors and on digital learning environments, assisting lecturers and helping students to develop the confidence and skills for learning and beyond.
About the Role
Working closely with Lecturers, LDTs, Learner Support and Curriculum Managers, you will provide a blend of learning support, learner guidance, practical inclusive practice and other assistance to enhance the overall student experience.

Essential criteria for this role:
- Qualified to SCQF Level 6 (or equivalent)
- Relevant experience of providing educational support to adults and young people with a range of learning needs and barriers, in an educational or training environment.
- Experience of building positive, professional relationships with learners and consistently acting as a positive role model to support their wellbeing and engagement.
- Practical experience of promoting equality, diversity and inclusion, and adapting support approaches to meet the individual needs of learners.
- Experience of working effectively as part of a team, contributing positively to shared objectives and learner outcomes.
- Practical experience of using ICT and digital systems to maintain records, communicate information and complete administrative tasks.
Desirable criteria for this role:
- Experience of using digital platforms and resources to support learning and inclusion
- Knowledge and understanding of Childhood Practice.
- Driving licence and willingness to undertake training then drive college minibus.
Please note that this is a sessional role, with 22 hours per week during College semesters. Salary will be adjusted on a pro rata basis.
