The successful candidate will be able to teach at least 2 social sciences (preference for politics and/or history). They will bring a fresh perspective on curriculum design and delivery. They will thrive on being given the autonomy to demonstrate the relevance of social sciences and big data to the lives of our students. The successful candidate is likely to be a teacher/lecturer in the senior phase who will be driven by the desire to raise the cultural capital of our students.
The successful candidate will demonstrate empathy and an inclusive approach, supporting students from diverse backgrounds to engage and succeed. It is essential that the successful candidate has the belief that all students can achieve and are able to support them to do so.
Educated to SCQF Level 9 or equivalent with a relevant teaching qualification. Current experience of teaching Social Sciences in a school, FE or HE setting is essential as is up to date knowledge of social sciences.
Please note, we are looking to fill either for 1 full time post or 2 part time posts (pro rata).
The successful candidate will be required to work between our Milton Road Campus and Sighthill Campus.
