In-Person Volunteer Trainee Counsellor - EC01398

Edinburgh College are seeking to take on two in-person trainee counsellors to join our counselling team on a voluntary basis. These roles are until the end of June 2025.

The successful trainees will be currently studying an a COSCA approved / BACP approved / accredited counselling qualification and have their own counselling supervision in place. Additional regular support from Edinburgh College counselling team will also be available.

The trainee will provide a professional and confidential counselling service to meet the needs of college students, enhance the student experience and support retention and attainment.

Please note that we cannot accept applications from anyone currently studying at Edinburgh College for this role.

Any requirements for case studies or recordings as part of placement must meet the Edinburgh College policy on this and be discussed with the Counselling Lead beforehand.

This is a voluntary role and is not paid.

The successful candidates will be expected to work 1 day per week with up to 3 candidates across all Edinburgh College campuses, therefore a flexible approach to the work location will be necessary.
