Edinburgh College is seeking to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic individual to take up the post of Student Experience Team Leader for Schools & Young People.

Based within the Student Experience Team, the successful applicant will support the development and delivery of our Schools College Partnerships in line with national policy and strategic drivers.

Overseeing the development and delivery of the service, they will prove leadership, management and support to the Schools Team, evaluating and developing policy and process and ensuring safeguarding protocols are adhered to.

The post holder will facilitate a co-ordinated approach to the recruitment and retention of school pupils and will lead on transition activity. They will manage the partnerships with schools’ links across the region to ensure effective two-way communication to inform the development of a demand driven Senior Phase provision and support achievement of 16+ targets.

They will ensure the college offer is promoted and understood by schools, partners, advisors, parents and carers to promote their understanding of learner pathways and support development of the college student pipeline.

The post holder will be responsible for evaluating and monitoring the effectiveness of initiatives, reporting on progress and making recommendations through effective utilisation of college data and external information sources.

Applicants should be educated to SCQF Level 9 or equivalent however prior experience will be considered. They will demonstrate sound planning, organisational and problem-solving skills and will be customer/student focussed and keen to work as part of a team to deliver an exceptional student experience.
