An exciting opportunity has arisen within the department for a Skills Development Coordinator. This is a new post, temporary to June 2024 but envisaged growth within the sector could extend the post term further. As a member of the Construction department, you will ensure a positive learning experience to all the departments full time students by sourcing potential work placement opportunities, developing their skills in preparation for work placements, liaising with external funding bodies and key industry partners to develop these opportunities further. The post will allow you to develop Industry led focus groups ensuring Edinburgh College is well placed and at the forefront of enhancing work placement and Modern Apprenticeship opportunities within the region. The post will also allow for development within our established Modern Apprenticeship cohort with a view to expanding this through employer relation and engagement.
