SVQ Assessor - EC01321- Permanent

Edinburgh College is seeking to recruit a suitably qualified person to take up the exciting role of SVQ Assessor within the Childhood Practice team.

The role will involve work-based assessment and internal verification for candidates completing the SVQ Social Services Children and Young People and the SVQ Playwork awards. It will also include the assessment and verification of the SVQ units delivered on our HNC Childhood Practice courses and any apprenticeship programmes we offer.

The ideal candidate will have significant occupational experience in a relevant role in the early learning and childcare and/or school aged childcare sectors. To meet regulatory requirements SVQ Assessors for these awards must have a registerable qualification acceptable to the SSSC for the area and level of practice being assessed, and have knowledge and experience of the regulation and legislation applicable to the sector including the SSSC Codes of Practice.
