Edinburgh College is seeking to recruit a Workplace Assessor in Carpentry & Joinery to co-ordinate and assess the Modern Apprenticeship program within the Carpentry & Joinery curriculum area.

This role involves providing support to both apprentices and employers throughout their course of study, as well as accurately assessing apprentices work to ensure it meets the awarding body standards. The role also involves liaising with potential new employers to promote the colleges apprentice program.

Educated to a minimum of an SVQ3 in Carpentry & Joinery, you should possess a wide knowledge of the curriculum area, along with an understanding of sustainability and new technologies within Construction.

An assessors award qualification (L&D9DI, A1 or D32/33 assessor qualification), verifiers award qualification (L&D11 or D34/35), and an Advanced Craft qualification would also be desirable.
