Supported Programmes play a vital role in helping learners develop confidence, independence, employability skills and meaningful progression pathways. Working in partnership with the Head of School and Assistant Principal, you will contribute to strategic planning and lead the operational management of Supported Programmes at our Glenrothes Campus. You will provide effective leadership, coaching and support to curriculum teams, ensuring learners receive an outstanding educational experience that prepares them for life, learning and work.

About the Role

As Curriculum Manager, you will be responsible for the successful development and delivery of a defined curriculum area, ensuring alignment with Fife College’s strategic priorities, regional and national agendas and the evolving needs of learners and communities.

You will lead operational planning, quality enhancement, resource management and performance monitoring while fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, inclusion and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

· Apply knowledge and skills of learning and teaching to provide effective leadership and management to the subject teams, and effectively support student achievement of successful outcomes within specific subject area(s).

· Deliver and promote learning and teaching opportunities that employ the most appropriate methodologies to support student achievement of successful outcomes with a focus on ensuring successful progression pathways.

· Develop strategic vision and operational planning for the subject area in line with regional and national priorities, advising on curriculum changes and to reflect these priorities.

· Provide supportive, effective and future focused direct line management, including recommendations for professional development and performance management as appropriate.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential:

· Qualified to HND/Degree (SCQF 8/9) or SVQ Level 4/5 in the relevant vocational area

· A relevant teaching qualification

· Relevant experience of teaching and qualifications within curriculum areas.

· Proven effective educational practitioner (experience of innovation and development of successful methodologies in curriculum delivery).

· Proven record of evaluative ability, to recognise areas for improvement and plan for excellence.

Desirable:

· Management qualification.

· Experience of community education

· Experience of developing blended learning materials

Skills and Attributes

Essential:

· Appropriate knowledge of existing, emerging and assistive technologies to support and enhance the learning process

· Able to plan and deliver operational plans to support quality improvement.

· Able to support students’ learning requirements

Desirable:

· Demonstrable record of developing effective partnerships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
