As part of the Construction Crafts, Building services Team you will support students in the achievement of their learning goals through providing an appropriate, effective and engaging learning experience. You will contribute to the overall effectiveness of the curricular area, assisting team members and the Academic and Quality Manager in recruiting students and evaluating learning and teaching. Support the achievement of the operational and strategic objectives set out in the College Regional Outcome Agreement.

You must be qualified to HND/Degree (SCQF Level 8 or 9), or, SVQ Level 3 / 4 in the relevant vocational area, or, hold the highest-level qualification in the relevant discipline to the subject area being taught. In addition, you must have relevant current academic experience, or have demonstrable experience and practiced skills following vocational qualification.

The ideal candidate should have the skills and knowledge to deliver training over a broad range; from workshop skills at SCQF level 4 up to theory based SCQF level 7 in Plumbing & Heating, with deliveries on campus, online, and via distance/blended learning. Assessor and Verifier qualifications would be advantageous, or the willingness to work towards these. Knowledge of additional Green Skills innovation and disciplines would be advantageous.

Effective communication, organisation and interpersonal skills are essential. You will have the ability to inspire, encourage and motivate others together with the desire to make a real difference to our students.
