Lecturer (Counselling)

Faculty of Care, Social Sciences and Education 

£34,170 - £42,357 per annum (salary placement will be dependent upon Qualifications and Experience)

6.09 hours per week (4 hour class contact)

Temporary – 17/08/2021 to 01/07/2022

Base location to be confirmed (The role may require travel within the Fife Region)

As part of the Health and Social Care team you will support students in the achievement of their learning goals through providing an appropriate, effective and engaging learning experience.  

You will contribute to the overall effectiveness of the curricular area, assisting team members, the Academic Lead and the Academic and Quality Manager in recruiting students and evaluating learning and teaching. Support the achievement of the operational and strategic objectives set out in the College Regional Outcome Agreement. 

You must be qualified to HND/Degree (SCQF Level 8 or 9), or, SVQ Level 4/5 in the relevant vocational area, or, hold the highest level qualification in the relevant discipline to the subject area being taught. In addition, you must be or eligible to become a Registered/Accredited member of BACP or comparable accredited body and have relevant current academic experience, or have demonstrable experience and practiced skills following vocational qualification. 

Effective communication, organisation and interpersonal skills are essential.  You will have the ability to inspire, encourage and motivate others together with the desire to make a real difference to our students.
