Based Location: Dunfermline Campus (may be required to travel throughout Fife)
Evening Classes - 9.14 hours per week (6 hours class contact).
As part of the Construction Crafts Team, you will support students in the achievement of their learning goals through providing an appropriate, effective and engaging learning experience. You will contribute to the overall effectiveness of the curricular area, assisting team members and the Academic and Quality Manager in recruiting students and evaluating learning and teaching. Support the achievement of the operational and strategic objectives set out in the College Regional Outcome Agreement.
You must be qualified to, SVQ Level 3 carpentry and Joinery or Advanced Craft Carpentry and Joinery In addition, you must have relevant current academic experience, or have demonstrable experience and practiced skills following a vocational qualification.
You must have proven, relevant, and up to date industry practice and work-based experience along with a clear understanding of vocational qualifications and quality frameworks.
It is essential that you have excellent communication skills along with the enthusiasm for the relevant professional discipline skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines and to manage your own workload. You should also have the ability to inspire, encourage and motivate others together with the desire to make a real difference to our students.
The ideal candidate should have the skills and knowledge to deliver training and workshop skills at SCQF level 6 in Carpentry and Joinery, with deliveries on campus two evenings per week.
A recognised Assessor and or Verifier qualification would be desirable or you should be willing to work towards these.
