About the Role

Fife College is seeking proactive and collaborative Quality Enhancement Partners to help shape and sustain a strong culture of quality across the College. This influential role manages the development, delivery and evaluation of quality enhancement activity across academic and professional service areas, ensuring alignment with institutional priorities and sector expectations.

Working in close partnership with staff, students and senior leaders, the postholder champions continuous improvement in learning, teaching and assessment, with the learner journey and student partnership at its heart. The Quality Enhancement Partner plays a key role in driving meaningful, lasting improvements to the learning and teaching experience and institutional performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a catalyst and enabler in fostering and embedding a strong ‘quality culture’ across the College, working in close partnership with curriculum and professional services teams to drive continuous improvement and excellence in learning, teaching, and support services
  • Maintain effective systems for monitoring quality enhancement and evaluation activities including quality PIs, RAG ratings, benchmarking, progress against action plans
  • Manage quality evaluation and reporting schedules, ensuring alignment regulatory requirements and stakeholder needs (e.g. internal evaluation cycle, Academic Quality Committee, college leadership, SEAP)
  • Enable collaborative working relationships with students, student representatives, and the Student Association, to ensure student voice meaningfully shapes and informs quality enhancement and TQEF related activities
  • Lead development, implementation, and management of a coherent strategy for student partnership in quality enhancement, working closely with Quality Team leadership and other key partners
  • Support the development, implementation, and continuous review of institutional policies and procedures related to student information business systems ensuring alignment with national, sector, and College expectations
  • Work closely with curriculum and professional services teams to ensure a suite of aligned policies and procedures to enable regulatory compliance
  • Support and enable accessibility, approachability and strong cross team working relationship by maintaining a visible presence across the College, being available to staff and students to provide guidance, resolve queries, and promote confidence in examination and resulting processes
  • Provide relevant training and support for staff on quality enhancement, quality assurance and credit rating processes

Qualifications and Experience

Essential:

  • Degree or equivalent (SCQF Level 9)
  • Strong experience enabling and supporting Quality Enhancement and/or learning, teaching and assessment in a college context

Desirable:

  • Qualification in a learning and teaching or related area OR Data Management / Data Communication or other relevant qualification

Skills and Attributes

Essential:

  • Ability to support the bigger picture - develop and maintain understanding of wider context of sector and quality enhancement developments to ensure activity is relevant and aligned
  • Ability to understand and incorporate the role of technology in service delivery and policy implementation

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of Scottish FE sector developments
  • Ability to use and administer social media channels for effective conveyance of message, product or service
