About the Role

We would like to appoint an enthusiastic, motivated individual to carry out the role of Student Support for Youth Theatre who will work closely with the Youth Theatre Facilitator to maintain a high quality, safe environment for all students.

You will provide staffing to child ratio levels for particular age groups and learner requirements when “chaperone” duties are needed in performances and provide continuity in nurturing children’s talent and skills.

Key Responsibilities

· General administration including enrolment and payment and creation of registers

· Check attendance and waiting lists and follow up with class member as required.

· Record attendance on College systems as appropriate

· Provide appropriate staffing to child ratio levels for particular age groups and learner requirements when “chaperone” duties are needed in performances

· Provide support to the Facilitator in technical aspects of the class, including leading on warm up sessions as and when required

· Provide continuity in nurturing children’s talent and skills

· Support the Finance staff with collection of payments where appropriate.

· Completion of personal invoices and submit to manager

Qualifications and Experience

  • Essential:
  • Standard grade school qualification or equivalent (SCQF Level 3)
  • Undertaking a course in Performing Arts
  • Experience of the drama process
  • Experience of working in a supportive environment
  • Desirable:
  • Experience of working with children in a drama setting
