Technician 2 (Fashion)

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, customer focused individual to provide an efficient and effective service in the provision of technical support to our Fashion Team which enables the delivery of a quality and safe service to our students.

You will maintain and repair basic tools, equipment and plant within the Fashion studios, the sewing room and classroom areas for which you are responsible. A good knowledge of industrial sewing machine maintenance and experience is a main requirement for this post.

You will assist with technical and other staff to maintain records in relation to COSHH, PAT, Plant and Equipment, Materials and Tools, In addition you will assist in the preparation.

You should be educated to HNC/SVQ Level 3 (SCQF Level 7) or equivalent, in a technical subject and have experience of controlling and monitoring use of equipment and consumable materials. Knowledge of Health and Safety is essential.
