About the Role
The Training Needs Representative plays a central role in delivering high‑quality, individual Training Needs Analysis (TNAs) for workers affected by the Mossmorran transition programme. The postholder will engage directly with workers, assessing current skills, mapping them against labour‑market opportunities using software and producing tailored recommendations to support rapid upskilling and job transition pathways.
Key Responsibilities
Training Needs Assessment & Worker Engagement
· Conduct individual Training Needs Analysis with affected workers.
· Use Skills Base software and other approved tools to assess worker skills, employment intentions and alignment with labour‑market demand.
Information Management & Reporting
· Accurately capture and input detailed information into Fife College systems and databases in real time, maintaining full data integrity.
· Ensure all documentation complies with project requirements, audit standards, GDPR and College policies.
Service Delivery & Professionalism
· Deliver a high‑quality, person‑centred service that maintains the College’s professional reputation and aligns with its values.
· Travel to multiple sites including Mossmorran and Fife College campuses where necessary

Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
- Educated to SCQF level 8
- Recent proven experience in training, employment support, workforce development, HR, or advisory roles.
- Strong evidence of skills assessment, interviewing, or guidance‑based practice.
- Experience delivering one‑to‑one assessments, interviews or guidance conversations
- Experience managing sensitive information accurately and professionally.
Desirable:
- Customer Service qualification.
- Administration qualification.
- Experience of working within a further Education (FE) environment
Skills and Attributes
Essential:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of engaging confidently with individuals facing redundancy.
- Strong analytical ability to interpret skills and match to labour‑market opportunities
- Proficient in Microsoft 365, digital platforms and data‑entry systems
Desirable:
- Proven ability to multi-task under pressure, with the ability to demonstrate attention to detail.
- Forward thinking, resilient individual with a high level of motivation.
