About the Role
Working under the direction of the School College Partnership (SCP) Manager, the University Partnership Co-ordinator will ensure an effective and comprehensive advice and support service for Higher Education students and staff whilst supporting a proactive liaison with our university partners.
The post holder will ensure the co-ordination and oversight of all processes for our tertiary education partnership activity across all academic faculties and related professional services teams.
Key Responsibilities
· Provide a professional, highly visible, accessible and responsive service to HE students, ensuring regular contact and promotion with college HE students using a variety of methods including face to face, telephone, emails and social media.
· In liaison with tertiary education partners and internal stakeholders, provide high quality support and advice throughout the Higher Education student’s journey, from pre-entry through to progression to a positive destination.
· Work effectively and efficiently across the campuses to ensure a student led and centred service to all.
· Support the provision and delivery of university partnership events, UCAS related workshops and assistance to students progressing to university.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
- HND (SCQF Level 8) or equivalent qualification
- Experience of Higher Education within an education setting
- Knowledge of university application, progression and articulation processes
- Knowledge of student funding in the tertiary education sector
- Proven experience of creating and maintaining external relationships that demonstrate positive outcomes relevant to tertiary education sector.
Desirable:
- Corporate Parenting / Safeguarding training
- SCAPP Accreditation
- Administration of a SharePoint system
- Experience of working in widening access and/or articulation in the tertiary education sector
Skills and Attributes
- Essential:
- Positive attitude to Equality & Diversity
- Effective organisational and planning skills to ensure effective and efficient use of resources to meet deadlines
- Ability to maintain accurate and relevant documents and records to a high standard
- Desirable:
- Effective interpersonal / communication skills working with senior management
- Digital Skills including SharePoint administration
