Our busy Finance team is currently looking to appoint an Assistant Head of Operational Services for a Full Time Maternity Cover post for 6 months.   The principal purpose of this is role is to assist in the management and organisation of the operational aspects of elements of the Operational Services team; focusing mainly on Accounts Receivable and Credit Control. The role will assist in the day to day management of all activities within the Operational Services function including line management of team therein.

 

The successful candidate will be actively involved in the student journey, managing the student Financial Registration, full management of the online store, reconciliation of all SAAS and SLC funding and also be the lead contact for complaint resolution.

The role holder will be expected to establish and maintain relationships with suppliers, customers, sponsors, students and staff to ensure queries are resolved swiftly and payment terms are observed. 

The successful candidate must have previous operational services experience; ideally within a business setting or a Higher Education setting.  Experience of line management is an essential requirement for this role. Demonstrable evidence of good organisation skills, coupled with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office packages is also essential, as is the ability to work to deadlines under your own initiate and demonstrate good leadership skills within the team contributing to its success.
