(term time opportunity normally from early August to end of May)
Working pattern: Monday to Friday 10am to 3pm each day with a 30 minute unpaid lunchbreak (working pattern will be discussed at interview)

Registry is a central professional service that provides support to key areas of the student journey – from Registration and Exams through to Graduation. Registry also has responsibility at institutional level for the maintenance of student systems and timetables, and ensuring compliance with Home Office requirements in relation to sponsoring our international students’ visas. Many of our services and those of other support teams are delivered by the Campus Life Desk within the Student Enquiries, Advice and Events directorate where this role is based.
Our Campus Life Desk Advisor/Registry Administrator provides a key link between our Campus Life and Student Records teams. Primarily based within the Campus Life Lounge, you will work closely with the wider Student Support Teams as well as colleagues across Schools and professional support areas to ensure that students have access to support and advice of the highest quality. At key times during the year, you will join the Student Records team in our Registration Arena or back office to support registration processes that enable students to study and to access key systems, support and funding.
As the first point of contact for students, you will show a high level of confidentiality and sensitivity of customer care and gain an excellent knowledge of the services and support that are available across all areas of the student journey. You will deliver an excellent service for all students, staff and visitors to GCU with a professional and friendly manner.
The successful candidate will be enthusiastic about helping students and staff across the university with advice and guidance, have experience of working in Higher Education and be able to communicate with all stakeholders effectively and compassionately. They will have experience in working with Student Information Management Systems, or similar databases, with accuracy and attention to detail. They will be confident in using their initiative to solve problems. They will be passionate about our mission as the University for the Common Good and always look for ways we can improve what we do.
