An exciting opportunity has arisen for the position of Careers Information & Communications Officer to work part time within the Careers Team in the Directorate of Student Life at GCU. The team work across all GCU Schools to support the Careers Education, Information and Guidance of GCU students providing an exceptional careers service. Based within the Careers Service, the main purpose of the role is to ensure that the Careers Service delivers up-to-date and informed digital and physical careers information resources for all stakeholders. The role holder will lead on careers communications with students, ensuring effective use of social media, digital display, website, newsletters and other promotional media. In addition to this the role holder will lead on website development and data protection.
Educated to degree level or equivalent, you will have excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills. You should possess the ability to exercise initiative and show a high degree of responsibility. It is essential that you have excellent IT skills and the ability to learn new technologies. You will be a team player who can work with a range of stakeholders.
