The team

We are seeking an experienced International Student Recruitment and Marketing Officer to join our international student recruitment team. This role is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is passionate about international student recruitment and marketing and has a strong desire to make a positive impact. Based within the Directorate of Future Students and Marketing the team is responsible for the delivery of the University’s international student recruitment plans, including activities to attract qualified international students to study at our university, the management of our global network of education agents, sponsors and articulation and progression partners, and market insights.

The role

This role is dedicated to recruiting international students to the University, as part of the wider University’s international strategy. The postholder will lead and support a range of international student recruitment and marketing activities, including engaging directly with prospective students and agents, building international marketing content and assets and developing digital recruitment channels. The postholder will also assist in the promotion of articulation and progression opportunities, working with internal teams and external partners to highlight pathways into on campus undergraduate and postgraduate study. You’ll be required to travel within the UK and overseas, working at times outside of core office hours. This role is based in Glasgow, Scotland.

Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent experience and have experience from international student recruitment, marketing or sales roles, ideally within higher education or an international environment. You’ll have experience of planning and delivering student recruitment events, excllent communication and presentation skills and a strong understanding of digital marketing and communication channels, including social media and CRM systems. A high level of customer services skills are required, along with experience of operating internationally with strong cultural awareness.
