To support our continuing growth, we are seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Anatomy within the School of Health and Life Sciences. The multidisciplinary School delivers a number of highly successful programmes in Allied Health Professions, Biological and Biomedical Sciences, Nursing, Psychology, Social Work and Vision Sciences, and contributes to the university’s core research excellence, fostered via Research Centre for Health (ReaCH). We work in partnership with staff, students and external stakeholders embedding excellence, engagement and energy into every aspect of our activities. The School is embarking on an exciting new phase of development with the creation of a three-year BMedSci (with Progression to Medicine) programme, in collaboration with the University of Glasgow. This is a rare opportunity to help shape the anatomy curriculum for an innovative new programme that prepares students for progression to medicine. As Lecturer in Anatomy, you will play a pivotal role in designing an innovative, evidence-informed anatomy curriculum and establishing a distinctive teaching philosophy that will inspire and equip future medical professionals. You will also contribute high-quality teaching, scholarship, and curriculum development across a range of health programmes.

We are particularly keen to hear from candidates who are passionate about transforming anatomy education through innovative, non-cadaveric approaches. We welcome applicants with expertise in technology-enhanced learning, including digital anatomy resources, medical imaging, simulation, and other contemporary approaches that enrich students' understanding of human anatomy.

Applicants should hold a PhD in Anatomy or a closely related discipline.

Prior experience of supporting student learning, teaching and assessment in higher education is required. A higher education teaching qualification and/or Fellow status with AdvanceHE is desirable. The post holders will also be expected to contribute to ensuring curricula are current and compliant with internal and external regulatory frameworks (e.g. GMC).
