To support our continuing growth, we are seeking to appoint a new Lecturer within the Department of Social Work. The Department of Social Work is a rapidly expanding department with an outstanding reputation in the delivery of social work education. The department has a strong student centred ethos and the role holders will demonstrate a strong commitment to that ethos.

As a Lecturer in Social Work, you will have a focus on providing high-quality learning and teaching that is underpinned by scholarly activity. We are keen to receive applications from people who will enhance our delivery of and reputation in social work. Applicants should hold a professional social work qualification or social work degree and be interested and passionate about contributing to practice learning, innovation and development.

Lecturers are expected to contribute to the delivery and assessment of existing modules, supervision, and the enhancement of the student experience across the range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes including inter-professional education. Prior experience of supporting student learning is required. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate relevant industry work experience (including supporting students in placement settings), consultancy/research or professional body engagement in the subject area. A higher education teaching qualification and/or Fellow status with AdvanceHE is desirable and / or a practice education qualification. The post holder will also be expected to contribute to ensuring curricula are current and compliant with internal and external regulatory frameworks.
