The Directorate of School Professional Services is looking to appoint a Placements Administrator to provide administrative support with tasks associated with placement activity, including liaison with academic staff and external organisations as necessary, to ensure a high quality student experience.

The role holder will be a core member of the Placements team working proactively to provide effective and efficient administrative support of Placement activity across the Schools.

The successful candidate should be educated to HND level or have equivalent relevant experience. 

The role is varied and will require the following: 

  • Excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organisational skills, ability to maintain clear and accurate records and collate and organise data and the ability to manage and prioritise conflicting workloads
  • Evidence of working collaboratively as part of a team as well as the ability to work on own initiative.
  • Experience of clerking meetings
  • Evidence of identifying opportunities for improvement and developing and implementing best practice.
  • Proficient in MS Office packages, in particular Microsoft Word and Excel.

A working knowledge of Further/Higher Education, including the use of a student records system and experience of liaising and working collaboratively with external stakeholders is desirable.
