Registry is a central professional service that provides support to key areas of the student journey – from Registration and Exams through to Graduation.  Registry also has responsibility at institutional level for the maintenance of student systems and timetables, and ensuring compliance with Home Office requirements in relation to sponsoring our international students’ visas.

Our Registry Helpdesk Assistants will provide effective and efficient administrative support to Registry activities, in particular to supporting student registration by responding to helpdesk queries from students by phone and email.  Working collegiately within a team, they play a key role in processes that enable students to study and to access key systems, support and funding. They may also provide administrative support across Registry as necessary and within agreed parameters with line manager.

The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic, skilled and organised administrator who can plan and manage their own workload. They will enjoy helping students and staff across the university with advice and guidance and become an expert in registration. They will thrive in a busy and demanding environment that requires the ability to multi-task effectively and be comfortable working to tight deadlines, dealing with high volumes of administration whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy. The will communicate with empathy and make our students feel supported and foster their feeling of belonging to GCU from first contact. They will be articulate, with strong attention to detail and be able to make good decisions and solve problems.  They will be passionate about our mission as the University for the Common Good and always look for ways we can improve what we do.
