This research post sits within GCU’s Research Centre for Health (ReaCH) which comprises 10 multi-disciplinary research groups which collectively work on enhancing the lives of people with long term health conditions as well as developing and evaluating public health and lifestyle interventions.

We are seeking to appoint a full time Research Fellow/Trial Manager to the recently awarded National Institute for Health and Care Research funded PEPPY trial (Randomised controlled trial of the clinical and cost effectiveness of supervised pelvic floor muscle training plus vaginal pessary compared to supervised pelvic floor muscle training alone for management of pelvic organ prolapse). The successful candidate will work with the research team primarily to co-ordinate all aspects of the multicentre trial and ensure that milestones are met.

 

You will have the leading role in planning, co-ordinating and completing the project. You should have a good knowledge of the requirements of undertaking clinical research within the NHS including governance and ethical issues.

You should have excellent written and oral communication skills and be able to work well within a team but also motivated to work independently and prioritise tasks to ensure deadlines are met. You should be hardworking, organised, enthusiastic and flexible and able to take initiative as required.
