Teacher of Music - Temporary Full Time Appointment (initially 6 weeks) - Hamilton College

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and talented Teacher of Music on a full-time supply basis initially for a period of six weeks, commencing immediately following the October break.

The successful candidate will join a supportive and forward-thinking department and will be responsible for delivering engaging and inspiring Music lessons across our school. They will support and actively promote the Christian ethos of Hamilton College, embedding our values into everyday classroom practice and relationships.

We are looking for an outstanding classroom practitioner who can foster a love of music, encourage participation and achievement, and make a positive contribution to the wider life of the school during their time with us. The ideal candidate will possess excellent subject knowledge, high expectations for all pupils, and the ability to build positive relationships within a busy and vibrant school community. They will be able to engage and inspire our Nursery, Junior, and Senior pupils through a commitment to high quality teaching, learning and musical activities.

This is initially a six-week supply position from Monday 19 October 2026, although there may be the possibility for the appointment to be extended.

The successful applicant should be registered with GTCS must be either an existing member of the PVG Scheme or be prepared to join this scheme and prove their right to work in the UK before commencement of employment. An offer of employment will be subject to two satisfactory references and a clean report from Disclosure Scotland PVG Scheme.
