Learning Support Assistant (MS/HS)

Duties & Responsibilities:

As an IB World School (PYP, MYP, and DP), ISA prioritises relationships, care, and inquiry-based instruction in an inclusive setting. The Middle & High School Learning Support Assistant works alongside subject teachers, specialist staff, and school leadership to support larger class settings across the learning continuum in middle and high school. Operating within a Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) structure, the assistant helps deliver scaffolded interventions to support the teacher in embedding Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles and concept-based teaching and learning. The bulk of their time is spent directly assisting students across key disciplines, facilitating smooth classroom operations, and fostering well-being.

Contract term: Fixed term contract

Hours of Work:

Our working hours are 8am - 4pm and evenings for parent conferences and other school activities (please see job description for more details).

Qualifications:

Minimum bachelor degree or certificate of higher education (Desirable). Relevant qualifications in additional and complex needs support (Desirable)

Experience:

Previous experience working with students with additional needs in a classroom (ideal) or other relevant setting may be considered.

Other requirements: The right to work in the UK. Employment is dependent on a successful PVG check.
