We are seeking to recruit a full-time temporary Teacher of Mandarin to commence 14th August 2023.

In Jordanhill, all pupils in S1 study Mandarin and then have the option to continue in S2 prior to course choice for S3. National 5 Mandarin is delivered in S3 and S4 with Higher Grade and Advanced Higher offered in S5/6. Teaching also takes place in Broomhill and the High School of Glasgow. The postholder will be expected to support some of this work and possession of a full driving license will be advantageous.

Applicants require to be registered with GTC Scotland. Appointment is conditional on a successful PVG check prior to commencement in the post, satisfactory references, presentation of qualifications and confirmation of the right to work in the UK. Any offer of employment will be withdrawn if any of the above conditions are not satisfied.

Person Specification, application form and report on applicant form can be found at Jobs – Jordanhill School. Please return documents to recruitment@jordanhill.glasgow.sch.uk.
