We are seeking a proactive and highly organised HR/Admin Assistant to join our friendly and dedicated support team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a varied role and enjoys contributing to a positive, people‑focused school environment.

About the Role

Working closely with the HR Manager and wider school staff, you will support a range of HR and administrative functions that help ensure the smooth running of the school. This role offers variety, responsibility, and the chance to make a meaningful impact within a close‑knit community.

Key Skills & Experience

We are looking for someone who brings professionalism, initiative, and a warm, approachable manner. You should have:

  • Previous experience in HR administration or a similar role (experience in the education sector is desirable)
  • Strong organisational and time‑management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office and HR systems
  • The ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion

Qualifications

  • SQA Highers or equivalent
  • HR‑specific certification at Level 3 or above (e.g., CIPD in People Practice)

Working Hours & Conditions

  • Part‑time: 0.5 FTE
  • 52 weeks per year, with flexibility required during peak periods
  • A varied and rewarding role within a supportive team
